The aim of the study was to see the impact of Internet Addiction on Mental Health. The sample comprised 70 adolescents (boys&girls) aged 14 18 years who were Internet users. The tools for assessment were Mental Health checklist (Kumar) and Internet Addiction Test (Young). The hypotheses that (1) Internet addiction affects mental health, (2) there is significant difference between Mental Health of Net Addicted and Net Non- Addicted subjects were proved. The researcher aimed at studying the impact of parenting and gender difference on Empathy and Personal Distress. The sample comprised 100 adolescents (50 girls and 50 boys) aged 15 to 17 years, selected from Intermediate Colleges of Agra. The subjects were assessed with Parenting Scale by Bhardwaj, Sharma, Garg( 1995) Empathetic Concern and Personal Distress Scale by Davis( 1980). The study concluded that (a) adolescents in the category of good parenting had high empathy (b) good and average parenting also results in less personal distress (c) girls reported good parenting as compared to boys (d) boys had more empathy than girls (e) on personal distress, male and female adolescents differed category wise, not sex wise.Keywords

The present study aims to find out gender difference regarding assertiveness among young male and female subjects. Assertiveness inventory constructed by Dr. Tasneem Naqvi was administered on 150 subjects (75 girls and 75 boys) selected from different Intermediate and degree colleges of Agra. Data was statistically analysed by using Chi-square. The study concludes that there is significant gender difference with regard to assertiveness, boys were found to be more assertive than girls.Keywords

The purpose of the study aims to explore the attitude towards self and others as a determinant of social adjustment. Social Adjustment Inventory by Roma Pal and The Self-Others Questionnaire by Dr. E.L. Phillips were administered on 150 subjects (75 boys and 75 girls) aged 16-20 years selected from different intermediate colleges of Agra. Data was statistically analysed by using chi-square. The study concludes that (a) adolescents having favourable attitude towards self and others are well and moderately socially adjusted (b) the study also concludes that subjects having favourable attitude towards self will have favourable attitude towards others also (c) boys have more favourable attitude towards self and others as compared to girls(d)girls were found to be better socially adjusted than boys.Keywords
